Tim Gordon elected to RLPA Board at AGM
The Rugby League Players’ Association is pleased to announce that Tim Gordon, a partner in the corporate advisory group at Gilbert + Tobin’s, has been elected as a Director to the Board at the RLPA’s 2023 Annual General Meeting.
Gordon brings a wealth of experience to the RLPA Board, having advised a range of clients on transactions, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
“I am honoured to be joining the RLPA Board and look forward to working closely with Chair Dr Deidre Anderson, the other Directors and RLPA CEO Clint Newton to further advance the interests of rugby league players in the NRL and NRLW competitions,” Mr Gordon said on his election.
RLPA Chair Dr Deidre Anderson praised Mr Gordon’s election to the RLPA Board as a significant acquisition for the Association and thanked Pippa Leary for her service, who stepped down as a Director at the 2023 AGM, held on Wednesday, March 15.
“On behalf of the RLPA Board, I would like to express my gratitude to Pippa, who has stepped down as a Director. Pippa has made an outstanding contribution to the Association and rugby league, and her dedication and commitment to the players will be greatly missed.
“With great pleasure, the RLPA Board welcomes Mr Gordon as a Director following his election. I believe his experience in corporate governance and advisory will be particularly valuable in ensuring that the RLPA continues to operate at the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.”
The RLPA can also announce the re-election of Wade Graham and Daly Cherry-Evans as Directors of the RLPA at the 2023 AGM. Both players have been strong advocates for player welfare and have demonstrated a deep commitment to the Association, their fellow players and rugby league.

Ms Lenarduzzi is a leading player in the NRLW competition, while Mr Nelson is a veteran corporate advisor with over 30 years of experience leading large, complex organisations and providing advisory and management services in the technology, funds management, biotech and sustainability sectors.
