The Rugby League Players’ Association is pleased to announce Aaron Booth as our newest member of the RLPA’s Player Operations team. As an NRL-contracted player, ‘Boothy’ served as an RLPA club Delegate for the Gold Coast Titans and played a significant role publicly and privately in securing the first-ever long form CBA for elite rugby league players.
Aaron will work alongside Jamie Buhrer, Tinirau Arona and Sia Soliola in the Player Operations team servicing NRL clubs, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will ensure we continue to advocate for and improve the terms and conditions of the players’ employment.
“I’m really excited to join the team at the RLPA as a Player Operations Manager and be able to achieve things for current players that were done for me and more,” said Aaron.
“The RLPA’s support and guidance were invaluable to me throughout my playing career. Knowing that I had the backing of the RLPA allowed me to navigate challenges with confidence and focus on my performance on the field.
“Being a delegate of the RLPA was a fulfilling experience for me. As a Delegate, I felt I could contribute to the collective interests of players within my team and across the league. It allowed me to help make meaningful contributions to the well-being of all players.
“Working at the RLPA appealed to me because I could continue supporting players and advocating for their interests on a broader scale now that I am into my post-career. I was lucky enough as a player to get to know the team behind the RLPA which made the decision to take up the new role an easy one. The RLPA’s dedication to supporting players and ensuring their welfare resonated with my own values.
“I hope to contribute by making meaningful and positive impacts on the lives of players and to help the overall progress and development of our game. I’m looking forward to getting started and catching up with players and meeting new ones in my role.”
