300 of the best for Kieran Foran

Kieran Foran will join the decorated 300-game club when his Titans side take on the Dragons this weekend at WIN Stadium in Wollongong. Kieran will become the 53rd player in the history of the premiership to reach the 300-game mark.

The Premiership-winner made his NRL debut against the Canberra Raiders during the 2009 season while playing for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Incredibly, he is now in his 16th season of playing in the NRL. He has played most of his games for the Sea Eagles, with other stints at the Eels, Bulldogs, Warriors and now the Titans.

An NRL legend and New Zealand Kiwis international, Kieran won the 2011 NRL Premiership with the Sea Eagles and also played in the 2013 Grand Final against the Roosters. The Rugby League Players Associations wishes Kieran the best for his 300th match in the NRL Premiership.

RLPA CEO Clint Newton congratulates Kieran Foran on his 300-game milestone

“On behalf of the Rugby League Players Association, I would like to congratulate Kieran Foran on reaching the massive 300-game milestone,” said RLPA CEO Clint Newton.

“The way Kieran has approached his career, and the way he plays, makes him a player that could easily have played in any era. He is skilful, tough and, most importantly, incredibly adaptable and versatile.

“He is the type of player and person that every player would absolutely love to with. He is the ultimate teammate on and off the field, which is a credit to his rugby league abilities and his personal attributes.

“His career so far has been hugely successful as a Premiership winner and international player, but his career hasn’t been without adversity. The quality that really makes Kieran stand above the crowd is how he has been able to overcome that adversity and be able to continue to perform at the highest level.

“To think where he is now in his career as a great player and amazing leader is proof of the type of person he is and why so many people are proud to call him a teammate and friend.”

RLPA General Manager of Player and Football Operations Jamie Buhrer congratulates Kieran Foran on his 300-game milestone

“Kieran, a huge congratulations on bringing up 300 games this weekend. It’s an incredible achievement,” says Jamie Buhrer.

“Winning a Grand Final in 2011 stands out as a highlight in Kieran’s career. He’s also gone on to have such a great career, representing his country, and performing at the elite level for multiple clubs.

“Kieran is one of the toughest players I played with, the way he throws his body around and because of some of the injuries he has had to overcome.

“I look forward to watching Kieran run out for his big 300th game, and hopefully more to come after that. I am personally super proud of him and wishing him all the best this weekend.”

RLPA Player Transition Manager Joe Galuvao congratulates Kieran Foran on his 300-game milestone

“I want to congratulate Kieran on 300 games, which is a wonderful milestone for him to reach,” said Joe Galuvao.

“I am sure, on the way to 300 games, Kieran probably doubted whether he could get to here. However, now he is here it is a testament to and reflection of his toughness, resilience, and durability considering all the adversity he has had to overcome. That is the thing I am most proud of on Kieran’s journey.

“I am very privileged to have called Kieran a teammate and more importantly a friend. On behalf of me and my family, we are so proud of Kieran. I am sure he will take some time to reflect on his journey and that there is plenty left in the tank.

“Congratulations, Kieran and all the best for your 300th game.”
