Teagan Levi wins Players’ Rookie of the Year

The Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) is pleased to announce Teagan Levi as the winner of the Players’ Rookie of the Year, as voted by NRLW players.

The Players’ Champion awards are presented by Select Cards.

Teagan was announced as the winner of the Players’ Rookie of the Year on Channel 9’s Freddy and the Eighth on Wednesday night. Teagan was voted by the players ahead of fellow Rookie of the Year Finalists Sariah Paki, Fanua Rimoni, Lucy Spain and Mercedez Taulelei-Siala.

“On behalf of the RLPA I would like to congratulate Teagan Levi on winning the Players’ Rookie of the Year,” said Clint Newton, CEO of the RLPA.

“Teagan is an elite athlete who made the decision to challenge herself in one of the toughest and most competitive women’s sporting competitions in the world. The way she has stepped up to and embraced that challenge is a credit to her.

“The NRLW continues to grow in quality, depth and professionalism every year, and earning the respect of your peers in that environment is an outstanding achievement.

“Teagan’s ability to come into the competition, adapt quickly and make an immediate impact speaks to her talent, work ethic and competitive drive. To be recognised by the players she competes against each week makes this award particularly significant.

“I would also like to congratulate the four other Finalists, Sariah, Fanua, Lucy and Mercedez, along with all the rookies who made their mark on the 2026 NRLW season.

“The strength of the competition is built on established players continuing to raise the standard and new players coming in ready to meet it. This year’s rookie class has added enormously to the NRLW, and they should all be proud of what they have achieved.”

Teagan is the first Gold Coast Titans player to win the Players’ Rookie of the Year award, in either the NRL or NRLW competition.
