Lachlan Croker’s two degrees in one season

“It’s given me that progression feel in my life that I felt like I was missing when I wasn’t playing good footy,” said Lachlan Croker.

With good reason, the 2022 Academic Team of the Year included Lachlan Croker.

With the help of Tim Gee, through the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles’ NRL/RLPA Wellbeing & Education program, Lachlan Croker was able to juggle footy while also completing two university degrees – a Bachelor of Criminology and a Bachelor of Exercise Science.

Croker was selected in the team for his Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Griffith University.

RLPA Player Operations Manager Jamie Buhrer praised Fuimaono and the 2022 Academic Team of the Year for their achievements on and off the field.

“It is hugely impressive that, despite the continuing increases in training and playing demands for players, that this group has shown such resolute commitment to their career development,” Buhrer said.

“Throughout the year they have remained engaged in their academic studies and have separated themselves from an impressive list of worthy recipients across both the NRL and NRLW playing groups.”
