The Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) has released the following statement as bushfires continue to have a devastating impact across Australia:
“The thoughts of the RLPA and its members are with those who have been affected by these horrific fires, including the people working around the clock to protect and support our communities.
“The RLPA has had a number of members get in contact with ideas about how they can help as a collective.
“We are currently working with the NRL, clubs, states and other stakeholders on a coordinated response to ensure the game’s contribution is most impactful in supporting the needs of those communities impacted.
“The RLPA and its members have been deeply affected by this crisis and encourage everyone to stick together during this extremely challenging time.”
