Statement – Michael Jennings

The Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) can confirm that Parramatta Eels player Michael Jennings has received a provisional suspension notice under the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy.

The provisional suspension is in relation to a positive A-sample for prohibited substances under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy.

Michael was tested by Sports Integrity Australia (SIA) on 21 September 2020.

The provisional suspension is not an admission of guilt or wrongdoing and Michael will have the opportunity for his B-sample to be analysed.

The RLPA will work with Michael and his management throughout the process to ensure appropriate representation and support is afforded.

The RLPA will not provide further comment on the matter while the confidential process is ongoing.
