Unstoppable Upton Named August Player of the Month 

The Rugby League Players Association is pleased to announce Tamika Upton as the Player of the Month for August, as voted by NRLW players. 

Presented in partnership with Levels Network, the RLPA’s Player of the Month winners and nominees are announced by Justin Horo and Willie Mason on the popular Levels podcast each month. 

August was a month of dominance for Upton and the Broncos, who went undefeated across the month’s five games.  

Upton delivered standout performances throughout, including a hat-trick against the Sharks in torrential rain, a four-try haul in the win over the Bulldogs, and a commanding display against Parramatta where she laid on multiple try assists and crucial defensive efforts. Remarkably, Upton registered at least one try assist in every game during August, underlining her influence as both a finisher and creator. 

With her relentless consistency and ability to deliver in key moments, Upton’s performances didn’t just secure wins, they reinforced her standing as one of the NRLW’s most complete and impactful players, and a driving force in Brisbane’s strong form toward the finals.
