Temara and Cleary take Player of the Month honours

The Rugby League Players Association is pleased to announce Zahara Temara and Nathan Cleary as the Player of the Month winners for July, as voted by the players.

Both Zahara and Nathan have picked up their second Player of the Month awards. Zahara won her first during the award’s inaugural year in July 2023, while Nathan was voted by the players as their best in March this year.

July was an incredible month for Nathan, as he produced a Player of the Match performance for New South Wales in the State of Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium. He beat fellow nominees Nicho Hynes and Jason Taumalolo to claim the monthly honours.

Zahara was at her playmaking best for the Canberra Raiders in July. Against the NZ Warriors in Round Two, Zahara dominated with three try assists and 142 running metres. Whenever Zahara got her hands on the ball, the halfback was central to much of the Raiders’ attack throughout July.

The Player of the Month award is announced on Levels Network each month, the top-ranking rugby league podcast hosted by Justin Horo and Willie Mason.
