Melbourne Storm halfback Jahrome Hughes has won the Rugby League Players Association’s Player of the Month award for April, as voted by NRL players.
Jahrome was voted April’s Player of the Month ahead of fellow nominees Patrick Carrigan, Nicho Hynes and Zac Lomax.
The champion halfback was pivotal for Melbourne in April, which included the eligible rounds of five to eight, as the Storm rose to become the competition front runners. Jahrome kicked off the month with a thrilling contest between Melbourne and the Broncos at AAMI Park when he scored a try and set up a further two.
Jahrome finished the month of April in the Storm’s dominant win over the Rabbitohs on Anzac Day, where the dynamic halfback set up two tries.
The RLPA’s Player of the Month is presented by Levels Network hosted by Justin Horo and Willie Mason, with the nominees and winners announced on their podcast each month.
