Hilder to drive female recruitment
Country Rugby League has appointed Kylie Hilder to the role of Female Recruitment and Participation Officer.
Hilder joins the CRL with a wealth of experience in the game both on and off the field after a distinguished playing career and nine years working as a Regional Manager and Game Development Officer with the ARLD and NRL.
Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn believes Hilder’s appointment is an important step forward for the CRL.
“We are very excited to have someone with the experience and profile of Kylie Hilder joining the Country Rugby League family,” said Quinn.
“We’ve seen incredible growth in the number of women playing Rugby League in both Ladies League Tag and tackle formats throughout Regional New South Wales and Country Rugby League are dedicated to providing more opportunities for women to play the game.
“Kylie’s experience will be vital to improving the pathways for women to be involved in Rugby League and enhancing the experience they have with our game.”
Hilder, a former Jillaroo who represented Australia in both Rugby League and Touch Football, admitted she was looking forward to starting her new position with the CRL.
“As someone who has been involved in Rugby League both on and off the field, I am excited at the prospect of joining Country Rugby League and the opportunities we can offer women throughout Regional NSW,” said Hilder.
“There are currently over 6000 women playing Rugby League in the country and I am looking forward to getting out to the various regions and assisting them in growing the game.”
