Highlights News Players Michael Morgan announces retirement 09/04/2021 The Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) congratulates Michael Morgan on a stellar playing career with the North Queensland Cowboys, Queensland Maroons and Australia. Morgan officially announced his retirement today after 168 games with the Cowboys. While Michael’s on field achievements are many and well documented, his commitment to advancing and protecting the interests of his fellow players through his efforts as an RLPA delegate are likely less known to the public and those outside the playing group. Michael played a leading role during the COVID interrupted 2020 season, where he regularly gave up his own time to provide support to the significant challenges faced by players and the game, which was to the immense benefit of his fellow players. "The opportunity to join the Cowboys as a 16-year-old was fulfilling a life-long dream and I’m grateful for every moment at this great club."#ridemcowboys— NQ Cowboys (@nthqldcowboys) April 9, 2021 On behalf of our members and the RLPA team, the RLPA congratulates Michael on his stellar career in the NRL and his immense contribution off the field.
