Blake Green announces retirement

The Rugby League Players’ Association congratulates Blake Green who has announced his retirement from the NRL last night.

Blake has had a stellar career across 14 seasons at a professional level in the NRL and Super League.

Among his 270 first grade games, Blake won the Super League title and Challenge Cup with Wigan in 2013.

A recipient of the prestigious Dennis Tutty Award in 2020, Blake has continued to demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to his fellow players and has been a strong advocate for the RLPA.

Blake has been a member of the Men’s Player Advisory Group and played a key role for the Warriors’ players last season in navigating through the unique challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic presented.

On behalf of the RLPA and our members, we congratulate Blake on a stellar playing career and thank him of his significant contribution off the field.

We wish Blake and his family the very best in the next chapter.
